Short Hair and Short Dogs

Have you ever noticed that some people pick a pet that looks eerily similar to them? For instance, someone who has a long, narrow face may opt for a Borzoi (I had to look that one up), a Dachshund, or an Afghan Hound. Meanwhile, those with lots of hair may choose a Bearded Collie, a Shih Tzu, or a Lhasa Apso… or maybe a Poodle or a Pekingese. Sheepdogs, Maltese, and some Terriers also fit that description.
Some say that spouses also begin to resemble each other after many years of marriage. If that’s the case, we all need to start praying for my wife, Deanna!
As far as the spiritual realm is concerned, the longer we are Christians and the more closely we walk with Jesus, the more we should resemble Him. Not in our outward appearance, mind you, but in our innermost being. Likewise, our thoughts, words, and deeds should be influenced by – and closely aligned with – His.
Now, I’m keeping this devotional short because that’s the way I like my hair... and my dogs.
