Lost in Space

The Great Pyramid of Giza is the largest pyramid in Egypt and the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Built over 27 years during the 26th century B.C., it served as the tomb of pharaoh Khufu. The Great Pyramid originally stood 481 feet high, but after its white limestone casing was removed, it currently stands 454 feet tall.
At either height, it is obviously impossible for an infant to climb.
Likewise, ostriches can run up to 43 mph and cover 16 feet in a single leap. However, they cannot fly, which means they have zero chance of ascending to Proxima Centauri, the star closest to us. For the record, Proxima Centauri is part of the Alpha Centauri star system and sits in space 4.35 light years – or 40,208,000,000,000 kilometers – from Earth.
So much for impossibilities!
In the same manner, we – in our fallen state and with our limited intellect – could never have understood who God is or what Jesus accomplished on the cross had our Heavenly Father not illuminated our minds through the precious Holy Spirit.
Simply put, without the motivating love of Jesus, we would be “up the creek without a paddle” or, more appropriately to today’s subject matter, “Lost in Space.”
